Construction

Everything anyone uses got put there by somebody. The road, the school, the house you live in, the bridge you don't think about while crossing it. Construction work is hot, loud, early, and mostly invisible until it isn't there. The people doing it rarely get a card.

Four designs, and each one lands a little differently. The professional center is the hard hat with the hammer and the wrench, ringed by the excavator, the gears, the barricade, the site fence. The man and woman versions show a worker mid-job with the nail gun, so it looks like the person you're actually thanking. Around the ring on all three: observant, resourceful, team-oriented, reliable, skilled, precise, dedicated, disciplined.

The fourth is our classic, the design we started with and still can't retire. A brick wall and a crane over a rising building, with the tools and gears engraved below and a ring of its own: skilled, reliable, strong, diligent, detail oriented, safety conscious, hard working.

The first three come in red, green, blue, or black with a leather cord that matches. The classic stays in natural wood, engraved rather than painted, so the grain does the work. Any of the four can carry their name across the center in place of the word "Construction."

The gift card slides in from the side and tucks behind the design, so the piece is what they see first. The cord means it can hang in a shop or on a wall at home long after the card is spent.

It's made for a birthday, Father's Day, the end of an apprenticeship, a retirement after thirty years on site, or a crew that wanted to mark somebody's last day properly. It also works when you know someone works construction but not exactly which trade.

Built from 3 layers of premium Baltic birch, cut and finished by hand in our small family workshop, one at a time. Slight variations are part of what makes it handmade.
