Everybody at the wedding gets to enjoy the wedding. One person spends it walking backward, watching the light change, catching the grandmother's face during the vows because in twenty years that frame will be the one the family keeps. They are at every important moment and in almost none of the pictures.

Four designs, and each takes a different angle. The camera version puts a camera body head-on with the lens at the center, ringed by a tripod, film strip, flash, and a second body below. The man and woman versions show a photographer leaned into the shot with the camera up and the bag on the hip, so it looks like the person you're actually thanking. Around the ring on all three: resourceful, innovative, disciplined, dedicated, artistic, creative, patient, adaptable.

The fourth is our classic, the design we started with and still can't retire. A hand on a camera with film curling out above, a tripod and an aperture blade beside it, three prints hanging on a line below, engraved with a ring of its own: artistic, creative, passionate, organized, detail oriented, patient, imaginative.

The first three come in red, green, blue, or black with a leather cord that matches. The classic stays in natural wood, engraved rather than painted, so the grain does the work. Any of the four can carry their name across the center in place of the word "Photographer."

The gift card slides in from the side and tucks behind the front layer, out of sight until they go looking for it. The cord means it stays with the kit afterward, hung on a bag strap or a shelf edge in whatever corner has become the editing desk.

Right for a first paid shoot, a studio opened, a portfolio finished, or a birthday. Also right as a thank you after they photographed something that mattered to you, a wedding, a newborn, a last family portrait with everyone still in it.
